The images in both ‘Inspired by Italy’ pages were created for the exhibition at Beningborough Hall, Gallery and Gardens.

The influence of Grand Tour travels through Italy by John Bouchier are visible in the Hall he rebuilt that we see at Beningborough today. The echoes between both Venice and Beningborough are many, being reflected in the architectural details and rhythms, building materials and design elements, the attention to detail and craftsmanship. I had no idea how many parallels I would discover when I started two years ago.

The exhibition runs from September 2023 to March 2024
