This is my first colour work in over a decade, a bit of a shock to the system and would have failed instantly without the support and guidance of friends and fellow photographers, in both processing and printing.
I have spent so many incredible times on this beach in Wester Ross, and always walked straight past this lagoon, never ‘seeing’ anything of note. Initially, I noticed some seaweed on the tideline. As I explored further, I discovered a whole new world of rhythmically ebbing and flowing plants in this small tidal lagoon. Different shapes, colours and creatures started to emerge from this dark and mysterious world.
